Gold Star Certification

CAI (Community Associations Institute)* has awarded the prestigious Gold Star Community designation to Ovations at Elk View.  This designation is your assurance that the community subscribes to the highest standards in community management.  Before conferring the Gold Star award to a community, CAI reviews:

  1. the Capital Budget, ensuring the financial stability of the community;
  2. the Operating Budget, identifying strategic objectives, planned expenditures and how to fund them;
  3. the most recent Reserve Study, ensuring funding is within reasonable limits;
  4. recent audits and financial statements, to confirm accuracy of these records;
  5. current insurance certificates for all insurance policies, confirming the Association has appropriate coverage;
  6. special programs or services the Association offers, including recreational, social, and other services that develop harmony and community spirit. *CAI is an international membership organization, with over 40,000 members, dedicated to building better communities by providing resources to support community managers, association management firms, and other professionals who provide services to the association.  CAI’s mission is to inspire professionalism, effective leadership, and responsible citizenship – ideals reflected in associations that are preferred places to call home
